I think its not a matter they do not want to, they have to fix several bugs in their gameplay and actual engine does not let them to fix them cause it would be to remake the game entire and thats impossible so what they have every year are different kind of bugs and depends of these bugs they fix or not

The best thing EA can do is change the graphics engine. Frotsbite is a disaster, there is a reason why the best game considered by the community is from the previous engine

The introduction of 1vs1 mechanic Is what killed fifa, they literally remove defensive's a.i, plus the removing of footplanting animation,and these are gamedesigne choices.

I agree here. I prefer ignite too. I find 16 better than 17, which Is the best one on frostbite.
Anyways Hypermotion technology show a lot of potential under the hood..but they take some gamedesign choices for the sale of Fut and streamer community.
 
Do you think pes 2021 is soulless as compared to fifa 16 because it hasnt cutscenes after shots that go out?

In recent years I have tried to establish the goal of making FIFA 16 the closest to reality game I have ever played, both visually and experientially. however I cannot deny that the development of pes 2021 in recent years has been monstrous, especially thanks to its easily modifiable structure. basically I never liked the game, strange and binary movements, horrible grass, bad net physics. however it seems that all these imperfections have been overcome thanks to the mods. and beyond this the game gives the possibility of enjoying that pure photorealism that I have always aspired to. in fact, there are some things that cannot be replicated in FIFA 16:
- perfect adboards with animations
- more harmonious movements
- better distribution of lights and shadows of the players on the pitch
- fully editable camera to reproduce the perfect shots for TV
- more realistic goal celebrations (without those bugs that skip directly to replays)
- more defined player faces
- possibility to insert realistic transitions
- possibility of including special preparations in the pre-match

everything that is obviously not playable in fifa 16 makes me wonder why I don't move on to pes 2021, given my conception of the game, however essentially there are some things that I will never like about pes and that I'm sticking to the second video game most realistic in the world:
-lack of transitions of players expressing emotions after an event on the pitch/picking up balls for a throw-in/placing the ball for a goal kick
- adboards that continue to scroll during replays
-trophy celebration too short
- career mode that revives players once they retire.
- the fact that I now have hundreds of stadiums and a certain knowledge in FIFA 16 modding, while in PES 2021 I would have to start from scratch.

I would like to have an opinion from anyone who has had the opportunity to try and mod both games

I'm in a similar situation to this text. I've been thoroughly enjoying PES 21, adapting to those unusual movements you mentioned, and it became my go-to game. Since February, I decided to "detox" from PES and switched to FIFA 16 on PC. I've spent 8-9 months understanding and mastering what it can do. When it comes to modding, it's fantastic. I've stored over 7,000 faces, more than 300 stadiums, boots, kits—everything suits my needs except... the damn gameplay. I've tried all the mods on other websites, and none of them ever satisfy me. And so here I am today, trying to decide whether to move on to FC26, start over from scratch with my beloved PES, or look at options like PES 17 or 18...

Mate, how much space on HDD your FIFA 16 with all installed mods take up ?
Question just out of curiosity.

I am also like gameplay of FIFA 15 and FIFA 16.
And you are played in latest version or in version 1.0 ?
 
Well, I'd have to check exactly, but keep in mind that I have 8800 faces saved in the game and more than 7000 more waiting to be added, so that plus stadiums...etc., it'll easily take me around 600 megabytes or more.
