As EA seems to be moving in an increasingly worse and less realistic direction with their football games—especially with plans for an open-world mode and even more aggressive monetization—I decided to take matters into my own hands. I’ve created a few visual mods for FIFA 22 aimed at improving the overall feel of the game, making it less dark and depressing than it is now, and bringing it closer to what many consider the best FIFA ever made: FIFA 16.

I want to make it clear upfront that these mods were created primarily for my own personal use, specifically for my career modes with Wycombe, Havelse, Longford Town, and a create-a-club save with Trapani.

  • New tile color scheme – a brighter, more natural palette inspired by FIFA 16, aimed at reducing the dark and gloomy feel of the default FIFA 22 interface.
  • New Career Mode layout – a refreshed menu layout focused on clarity and a more realistic FIFA experience.
  • New icon images on tiles – updated icon visuals that better match the new layout and overall visual direction of the mods.
  • New league-specific theme colors – custom color schemes assigned to selected leagues to give them more identity and visual distinction in Career Mode.

Below I’ve posted the mods shown in the screenshots.
I’ve included a Google Drive link with all the mods, along with the recommended load order to use them for the best overall experience:

I also recommend using the gameplay mod by @Allekss for the best experience: https://evoweb.uk/threads/fifa-22-realism-gameplay-x-attributes.103962/

fifa 22 on pc is old-gen. last fifa game that made in frostbite engine. responsiveness is awesome. only problem is colour palette.
I downloaded the cracked version and played a few matches. The game has potential; after two years of playing FIFA 16, it's technically impressive. However, I quickly noticed a few things that, as a Career Mode player, are a big problem for me: The lack of pressing in midfield; defenders can freely run with the ball into the opponent's half and into the penalty area. Player movements, turning with the ball, etc., are far too fast, which looks very unnatural. The same goes for dribbling. Players dribble too often, using tricks like Messi (for example, I played against Milwall, and half of their players were constantly dribbling and trying tricks), but that might be a menu setting issue. Weak goalkeepers and strange animations when defending (arms curled up). Scoring goals from distance and with finesse shots is too easy. For several matches on Legendary, I scored a beautiful long-range goal in almost every match. And unfortunately, the cracked version doesn't work with Mod Manager, and I was curious what the mod improves gameplay :(

Why old gen? Its on Frostbite like others ...
Edit: it seems that i found working mod manager version. I must try play with gameplay mod:)

I’ve played every FIFA since FIFA 12 and I’ve seen how much the series has regressed over the years. Still, I think that FIFA 22 is much better than the next FIFA/EA FC games and has much bigger potential when modded.

For me, the problem in gameplay is the schematic buildup play, the lack of crosses, and the ball bouncing on the pitch for no reason while dribbling. Current gameplay mods still have a lot of room for improvement, and the most popular gameplay mods are crap and don’t solve these issues. I hope there will be more modders involved in modding FIFA22. Some good mods for lighting and the pitch would also be useful, as well as squadfiles from older seasons. The original pitch is absolutely disgusting because EA intentionally downgraded it on old-gen to make the new-gen versions look better. The lighting looks bad when you play matches during the day; even if you play at 12:00, the game looks like it’s sunset.

I hope the modding scene comes back to FIFA 22 and makes use of its potential, especially now with access to AI and features from the newer FIFA/EA FC games. 🧐

Fantastic work bro! 👏🏻 Any chance we can get a full English version? Because some texts still appears in Polish language. Thank you!

Yup, i already uploaded a universal version of the mod that works on any language.
Awesome! Thank you and to everyone modding this game 🙌🏻 I see a lot of people are playing and modding this now because it got cracked lol. This was my go-to FIFA game until it was removed from pc game pass and now I'm addicted to it again 😅

I have to admit, FIFA 22 is pretty cool. After two years of constantly playing FIFA 16, I played FIFA 22 for the first time. I was impressed technically, but I had mixed feelings about the gameplay. I installed a few mods, played around with the sliders, changed a few settings to semi-auto and started my career in English League Two. And I have to admit, it's quite fun! The game is demanding; after all, the opponent takes more shots and scores a lot of goals. In 10 matches, I've only won two. Of course, the more I play, the easier it will be, but so far, it's surprisingly good :)Sometimes there's too much space and it's easy to create a threat with a fast player. CPU rarely crosses, and I haven't managed to score with header yet, but overall, I'm having a surprisingly good time. Will it last as long as FIFA 16? We'll see :)
