The Retro-PES Corner

Have you tried the "Play with Miis" and "My Team" which only includes miis in it. also, wiimmfi workarounds.
No I never did a Mii team, I skipped that and just played the main game.

Which retro PES is the most challenging? I find PES 6 very easy and the AI to be lacking. Im only interested in PES 6 games and prior or PS2 games if you have suggesting for games that are more recent than PES6.

I find PES2008 PS2 very difficult, the AI is very good.

But you might want to globally reduce the speed otherwise it may be too arcade like.

I agree, some poeple might remember me from praising this version the most lol

Additionaly, the J.League variant is even more superb, small tweaks to the AI have been made in terms of their style and frequency of attacks.

I wasnt interested that much in the J.League aspect because of lack of knowledge but because of low rated players, it made matches way more organic and gameplay slower. The only downside that i can think of is something that can be said with every PS2 PES game since PES 6, sometimes it is way too easy to score long rangers or some screamers, thats why i sometimes go back to WE8LE and PES3, it was way more balanced as a whole (PES 3 especially).

I really wish PES 3 AI was a little bit fun, because i think that game perfected the feel of a football match.

btw Cannavaro didn't get the "middle shooting" special ability, even though he scored this goal

but Ramos had it since WE 9 -probably- for this goal

It's probably this. His first la Liga goal vs Real sociedad, September 2004.

On PS2 I find J.League Winning Eleven 2010 Club Championship quite challenging. The AI is aggressive and extremely trigger happy. You have to be on your toes all the time. I also find PES 2012 not an easy game to defend with the AI quite direct. The Jackallan patch makes the game also looks absolutely sensational for a PS2 PES. Both on highest difficulty, obviously.

Yes to PES6 way too easy. I wish there would be a 6* option. It's strange cause WE10 has it, but it's quite a different - and dare I say boring - game, to me WE10LE doesn't have it again then. Which is strange.

Other than the two mentioned before, I personally often go back to PES4. The frantic nature of the game, the speed and decent AI on 6* make it always a fun challenge.

Which is your favourite issue of *3 columns*?
Do they all have the same cover? (The different editions had different footballers on the cover, didnโ€™t they?)

Why do most people on this forum seem uninterested about tournaments and in-person meetups? (IRL)

I'm not talking about my tournaments.

But there's no enthusiasm or motivation among the people.

I'm surprised by this for people over 35y...

I wouldnt say that people arent interested, i think most people arent just in the region to participate :)

I absolutely love the fact that people like you are organising such wholesome tournaments in a world where the online aspect is the most dominant, would love to see some recorded footage of your tournaments in the future :)

I think itโ€™s good that you organise these tournaments ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

But for me personally I already have an excellent tournament going with my brother, yes it is only 2 of us but we use every team in my option file.

On top of that we are very evenly matched so the matches are usually tight.

And the icing on the cake is that I donโ€™t think PES6 is that good, but that is just my personal opinion. ๐Ÿ˜‰
