• Hotmail/Outlook (any Microsoft email services) folks. Microsoft is currently blocking our emails. We have raised a support ticket with them and will update when we can.

    In the meantime it's possible that adding robot@evoweb.uk to your address book will help and if you're able to switch to a different email provider, that would work fine.

    We have also increased the number of bounce emails we can handle before accounts are marked as requiring verification again to hopefully mitigate the issue a bit as well.

I have to eat my own words from past negative comments about this game because it truly rocks! I am having a true blast with it online. I am currently at level 21 I beleive. Probably won't get to some of your levels until next year, lol. I only play a few hours during weekdays and a few more on weekends. I haven't tried all the online modes yet, only Team Death Match and Death Match which I am having an amazing amount of fun with. Love the maps(hope new ones are added over time), graphics, realistic limbs beeing blown off (I have yet to see a head being blown off though)...love the difference in guns feel, perks...All in All this game is just so darn addictive that I am itching to get home tonight for some more fun. It took me a while to get used to since all I played was Battlefield:BC...however this baby is a sick diesel engine of a beast of it's own.

I'll be keeping this one for a very long time.

Dead Silence = but you get it later as you level up
Suppressor/ Flash Hider - silences your gun

Those are two of the most important.
 
The rifles such as the SVT/SGT whatever it's called or the gehwer(number) are two great guns, I've also seen a lot of people use the Typ100 with a silencer which is great.

Dead Silence is a perk as well, helps you make less noise.

Currently, I'm level 36 on my first prestige playing a lot of SnD right now, I'm more of a riflemen currently.

Playing with:

Springfield w/ scope
Bouncing Betty
Deep Impact
Juggernaut

Thompson w/ Aperture
Bomb Squad
Steady Aim
Deep Impact

Gehwer73 or whatever it's called w/ Aperture
Bomb Squad
Juggernaut
Deep Impact

Also a good tip for Search and Destroy players:

If your attacking, make sure you have bomb squad on, so keep one perk for attacking.
If your defending, make sure you have bouncing betties on, so keep one perk for defending.

Works like a charm, I do it all the time and I get at least 3 betty kills a game, and the bomb squad saves me millions of times.
 
Juggernaut nooooo that's a horrible perk!! Also camouflage is awesome, hides you from UAV. Using Camouflage, Dead Silence and a silencer/flash hider makes you pretty much invisible.

There's now Aim Bots on this game already, I was getting absolutely bummed tonight, really bad. There was people who would be IN FRONT of me and suddenly they'd hit me with one shot in the head without turning round, awesome. I actually ended up turning the game off it got me that mad.

And to top it off, DON'T PLAY ON CASTLE. There's a glitch that lets people go under the floor, especially when you're playing HQ or Domination, you can't capture anything because these nooblets just stay under them..
 
I know... shame. :( Call of Duty is a fantastic game for online, then you get these idiots who just ruin everybody's work. I hope they get syphilis.

Anyway I don't use juggernaut much, I'm just using it cause I don't have anything else to use, it helps though! :D
 
Thats one of the other benefits of Xbox live, nothing like Aimbots happen

Oh yeah i got to level 19 on the Zombie thing :))

we all had ray guns and was having 2 to a room which worked well until 1 person got knocked down then we all died tying to save him :LOL:
 
They do happen on Xbox, there's loads of people complaining about them on the official CoD forums, just as many as the PS3 forum, only difference is they get banned on Xbox and don't on PS3.

Also the ray guns kick ass. :D
 
I didn't think it was possible on the 360, i though you had to run this program before you booted the game and you cant run home made programs on the 360

im probably wrong though
 
I guess if you're managing to somehow get away with a pirated copy of the game it can be pretty easy to do other stuff as well, I just don't get why you'd wanna cheat though, it's proper stupid and ruins it for everyone.
 
Playing backups or whatever work because they are exactly like the original

if they detect any changes it wont take em long to ban you

I hope they don't find a way to do it easily on the 360 that would be the end of FPS' for me
 
On the 360 as far as I'm concerned there are no cheaters, except for the under the map glitches on CASTLE, and the one before which was on DOWNFALL.

I do get accused of having a auto-grenade aim er thing, because in SND I killed 4 people with one grenade at the start, the usual Americans.
 
Right then lads, is this game worth getting? ive been toying with the idea of buying it but havent got round to it yet.

Also is there a decent online community for this e.g. a bunch of regulars who play it often?
 
Depends, from my experience on Xbox Live I have a bunch of friends from Singapore and Hong kong who play daily in the evenings, and we switch between WAR, SEARCH AND DESTROY and TEAM DEATHMATCH, it's great fun with the same people. If you find a group (I'm sure if you're playing on the ps3, you'll be able to play with dags, yana and etc) or on the 360 maybe you'll be able to get Coopz or etc.

I think the game is just personally similar but different, the campaign is worth completing and the online is once again outstanding.
 
Guys, can anyone give me any tips on "Aiming"?

I have a hard time hitting anything when someone is moving slowly. Should I be pulling the LT to aim right before I shoot the bastard?

In other words, does pulling the LT at the right time trigger some sort of auto-aim at any given point?

I see...I could swear that in some instances for me it actually "locked" on the target as it was moving after pulling the LT.

I have to practice some more I guess. Some nights I get many kills pulling the LT and others I can't hit a target if my life depended on it.

Yes it does. But you have to be close enough before pressing LT.
I only found this last weekend, I spent 1 year without being assisted. It changes everything.

I knew I wasn't going loco in the head. I have experienced this "lock-on" target online and offline. And your right, the times that it's happend was when the target was close. This is how I got so many kills the other night.

I wonder if this option can be turned OFF/ON.
