EA SPORTS FC 25

Finally got a PS5 for my birthday, it's not really moved on much has it? there are little moments of "wow" for me, but few and far between, feels like 2 decent passes and im 1 on 1, ill ned to stick it out as my son in law bought me it and wants to play.

It's better than last year's FC at least, though that is admittedly a very low bar. I find that with the recent FIFA/FC games it's easier to have fun if you don't treat it as a football game. When I'm playing FC 25 or whatever I like to think of it as an arcade game that coincidentally happens to bear some resemblance to football but that's it. It's actually pretty fun if I think of it that way.

Yeah it's how I view it when playing online, it can be fun if you treat it as a casual football game, but one can't deny the weird buffing & needing that occurs online, why can't it just come down to the two opponents skill at the end of the day?

Why are these online games designed with a blatant handicap against one player or the other if not for the sake of frustrating them into spending money on better players only to get hit with more of the same shameless scripting?

Yeah the scripting in multiplayer is insane. That's why I never play it though, I stick to local multiplayer with my friends and sometimes career mode.

Just a quick note - I have destickied this thread (definitely a real word) so that people don't keep posting about FC26 in here. Please put FC26 posts in the right place (i.e. the stickied thread for it).

The game will be announced shortly.

Thank you for your cooperation!

This game is so bad on old gen. Centre backs part like the Red Sea, fullbacks do anything but defend and the midfield is non existent, and no sliders change that. I wish we got neglected and given the legacy edition like FIFA 23 on the Switch, as that was actually playable

Hey guys! I've been a "semi-assisted everything" player for a while now, but I've found that semi through balls are not too much to my liking in FIFA 23-FC25, as the space where the balls go can be a bit strange sometimes. But I think I found a possible solution: decreasing "pass error slider" to approximately 35-40, seems, at least to me, to make manual passes become a bit more assisted (for both normal and through balls), so it becomes an intermediate between semi and manual, which I have found enjoyable. Just leaving it here in case it might help anyone else.

Anyone tried it ? https://dl.fifa-infinity.com/fc-25/gameplay-fc-25/kiarika-gameplay-mode/

  • CPU Sliders: Put it on Custom and set all in 50 except the “first touch passes” that need to be 10.

that is important to be on 10

I think its a perfect balance between sim and cade. Its so good. Stats matter, AI has identity and they really try to play football. Most players are uniqe, they cross and dribble. Its dynamic but fair. So addicive. Its not easy on world class compared to other gps. When you win and manage to have a clean sheet its so goood feeling

(there is a bug when the keeper throw the ball with hand - You need to kick it)

Eh, is it just me or does this play a half-decent game nowadays? Just had a kick around after a while. Felt slow and measured. Then again I've only played about 10 matches in total on this game, period, so might be variance.
I've not played for a while. I might have a game tonight and see. What teams did you use?

Maybe a bit slower, yes. Used Go Ahead Eagles away at Fortuna Sittard, 1-1 draw and an over solid match

Can You believe that goal...... !!!

Please be clear when you post clips in a non-mod thread that this is a modded game, not the original!

That said, I hope this mod can be ported to 26 somehow, because the tweaked 1v1 stuff etc. with this over the top - I bet it would be really good.

Can You believe that goal...... !!!

(Moderator edit: this is a modded version of the game.)

it looked great until the zoomed in bit and you see his standing foot slide across the grass, then it takes the enjoyment away. I understand its a personal preference what you accept but this and when the ball or body parts go through each other i just cant unsee it

The mod will be ported and updated to FC26 of course, but since each game has its different features it will take time to balance it. For those who are looking for the mod you can find it in my patreon page Danielz Modding World. The final version is paid but the v9 which is the second last version is free for everyone. If you want to try it and leave a feedback that would help me improve it. :BYE:

Guys I'm on PC playing career mode with Anth James Gameplay! Do you know why after 5-6 games in my save , the gameplay suddenly becomes fast ? Passes, speed, everything seems to speed up ?

The gameplay can speed up/slow down at times, it's a nuance of FC/FIFA for a long time. It always settles. There's some more detail about it in the Core Principles PDF inside the download.

I read it ! After hours of researching on internet, I found that many people say the issue is that sliders in career mode resets to default after making some changes or closing the game. Visually they remain with my changes, but mechanically they reset to default! That is what caused the increase in my case ( probably) ... An fix for that would be adjusting the sliders in career mode to match the sliders in general settings in general menu !!!

My question now, is there any mod that prevents sliders change? So to make the game to read the sliders from a mod , with a possibility to change sliders from an .ini file ?

I just got back after a long session of the beta, and have to say I'm still positive, although there are things good and bad that are coming to the fore.

Overall I'm still positive, I like the direction and clear improvement over last year. However I found myself less and less impressed the more I played. It is a beta after all, so still not refined, but hope it keeps progressing before launch.

The highlight of this session was discovering the player roles and impact it has on the team, really is something cool. My friend started a career mode with Real Madrid, and I played lots of games and could see players shift into position based on with and without the ball - something PES had. However the way you can have a specific instruction is cool, seeing Bellingham move to the left, or Carvajal come into midfield as an inside fullback. Really nice. I switched some too, making Rodrygo inside forward and you see how it changes player movement within a formation clearly.

The lowlight was probably the Simulation setting and overall impact on the game. This might concern people, however is it a beta, so fingers crossed things change, but after many games and switching from sim to normal and back, I realised overall it's just their idea of a slider settings and nothing more.

The feeling felt flat in the end, compared to the normal setting. I get a sense the game has been built with normal setting in mind, and it flows nicely, very dynamic with unique moments. Switching to simulation, while refreshing at first, made me feel I was missing something. Therefore I believe custom will still be the way to go, and using community sliders will provide the best experience, because the game is definitely improved in trying to create a more realistic experience.

It was also nice to see player stats more prominent than before, as I think there was a bug as players signed don't show up, so after a few injuries we were using youth players, and finishing and movement was simply not on the same level. I remember playing last year and never really feeling I missed star players too much as everyone could do a job, but different this year.

Should add, the presentation of career (i.e. menus) this year is kind of cool, will take some getting used to, but liked the change. Bit buggy though, but can see it being an improvement over last year

I’m not entirely surprised about the Simulation setting feeling like a basic slider preset, though. EA tends to market these things as game-changers, but they usually just end up being "Normal mode with 20% less speed." It can get a bit tedious when the gameplay feels that "flat." Honestly, when the simulation mode starts feeling like a grind, I usually take a break and head over to 1win for a bit. It’s a good way to reset the brain with something fast-paced before diving back into another career mode session to test out more tactical tweaks.
Great breakdown! It’s interesting to hear that the Player Roles actually feel impactful this year. That "Bellingham shift" or the "inside fullback" movement sounds like a massive step up from the static positioning we’ve had to deal with for years. If it actually mimics that old PES fluidity, it might finally break the "meta" of everyone just using the same 4-2-3-1 tactics.

It’s a bit disappointing that it feels "flat," but as you said, the community sliders (like the ones from Operations Sports) have always been the gold standard for realism anyway.
