EA SPORTS FC 26

So they are changing rules of the game to enable ping-pong passes.

And online crowd is happy.

Unbeliveble
To be fair, I think they're trying to punish players who want to exploit the game by scoring a goal and then just passing it between defender and goalkeeper for the rest of the game. (You should be allowed to pass the ball around and hold possession if you want to; but with pass speed/accuracy being 100%, it becomes an exploit.)

And to be even fairer - as much as I want them to fix the core issue (how easy "ping-pong passes" are) instead of coming up with a "workaround" like this - they're fixing it as much as they can given that everybody will be working on FC27 right now. (However, will they ever work on it? I highly doubt it.)

It won't impact offline players, so I shouldn't care... but again, 1) I hate that I am (and we are) categorised as "offline players"; I want to play online, but don't want to play an arcade football game that feels closer to Sensible Soccer than FIFA/PES, and 2) even if there is a "competitive" mode, this is still a football game and it should still feel like football...

Of course I did negotiate with the players and haven't forgotten anything. I'm old but not that old.
And I skipped to the next day, the only cutscene was a player coming back from a loan. It's just one of those many bugs in Career Mode that EA just doesn't care about.
Honestly, I doubt that. I searched for your problem in various communities and didn't find any other reports of transfers not working correctly. The only thing I found was people trying to sign players with expiring contracts during the winter transfer window, but accidentally negotiating a free transfer in the next summer transfer window instead.

The entire game, for a shockingly large number of people boils down to "How can I break the AI", and every update makes this easier for them to do. It isn't about having fun, it's a checklist. This has spread to every game mode unfortunately, and there is zero reason for EA to change it while printing money.

With the open world junk coming next year I am more than likely not purchasing it. My club still plays but the more sim-leaning people in the club do not play anymore, at all.
