    In the meantime it's possible that adding robot@evoweb.uk to your address book will help and if you're able to switch to a different email provider, that would work fine.

    We have also increased the number of bounce emails we can handle before accounts are marked as requiring verification again to hopefully mitigate the issue a bit as well.

There was this guy in it with a huge Afro in it. But you can laugh as much as you want: he's doing well in the Premier League (and he's only 20).
Great goal from Bentley, big match from Spurs...but Arsenal never should have lost this game...
 
Watched the Liverpool-Hull match and once again saw at least 3 shocking referee errors.
Both Liverpool goals were preceded (is that English ???) by fouls on the same Hull defender and should have been disallowed. That is my opinion but Alan Shearer and Lee Dixon said the same thing in MOTD.

And then there was the ball that touched Masscherano's hand or arm. I'm not sure this should be a penalty, but i'm pretty sure that if a similar thing would have happened in Hull's 16 yard box, the ref would have given a penalty.

Was this referee deliberately pro Liverpool ??? Of course not, but this season it becomes rather obvious that referee decisions tend to favour the big clubs. That is a pity... and i think the FA should adress this problem. I don't think the refs are to blame, i'm pretty sure it's a psychological thing and coaches like Ferguson and Wenger act accordingly (see also Wenger's comment after the penalty foul committed by Clichy in the match against Boro...of course this was a crystal cleart penalty...).
 
Yeah you're right Gerd, big clubs do get things in their favour quite a bit especially when playing at home but it's been like that for years and the only way it will change is if referees stop being influenced and grow some balls.
 
Well Jumbo, i think the FA should help the referees 'grow some balls'.
I don't really blame the referees. I think most of us would do exactly the same (or even much worse, i for instance would be a very, very lousy referee).
The FA could help by punishing manipulating managers and coaches...
I think what Ronaldo did on the side line against Dawson (???? was it him) should earn him a red card post factum...i'm citing this as an example...another example is the famous goal that Spurs scored against Man Utd and Roy Carrol...this goals should have been allowed after the match...
As relative outsider i have the distinct impression that the FA is afraid of the big clubs a,d will never "cross" them. Another example: the ref who gave Terry a red card at the beginning of the season was "relegated" to the Championship. That is not a very good example if you want to help your referees...
In the case of the Liverpool-Hull match, i'm not sure if something could be done...a replay would advantage Liverpool and give them a chance to earn 3 points...
I think all this is psychological and i have the distinct impression that the FA does not enough to support the referees.
 
Does anyone want the title this year? How frustrating. Dont get me wrong, I am happy that we are top of the table at this stage of the season, but we aren't even playing anywhere close to our real potential.

Whilst the other challengers are experiencing similair problems, I just can't help but feel we are throwing away our best chance to win the title in 18 years.

On the other hand, we're top and nowhere near our best, we always click into gear in the 2nd half of the season.
 
I think its more to do with the teams around the top 4 are improving and slowly the league is getting as a whole a lot better, soon the argument "apart from the top 4 everyone is shit" will be a myth
 
I'm sorry this thread is turning out to be about shocking ref errors but in the Stoke - Man Utd match we saw oncde again that big clubs are favoured.

You can't say that Stoke's right back did not deserve his two yellows but why the hell did Rooney (elbow les than 50 cm from the lines man) and Ronaldo (lashing out against that same right back, cfr. the Dawson incident a couple of weeks ago) did not get straight red cards...

I saw Liverpool score an absolute gem of a goal the counter attack Reina - Alonso - Benayoun - Keane was fantastic. Not a very spectacular goal, but IMHO this is as goods a football can get...great win for Liverpool...

Also great come back for Villa in a match they almost lost but should have won...
 
Rooney's was very silly and deserved a straight red I agree, Ronaldo gets kicked around a lot to be fair but still was stupid but didnt merit a red.

Rooney's one was a strange one, the linesman didnt seem to see it though and it's hard to tell whether Rooney was just trying to shake him off or whether he did throw an elbow.

About Ronaldo, now I am far from a fan of his but if you watch the replay of that incident, Wilkinson is pushing his studs into Ronaldo's ankle when they are on the floor then as he stands up he kept it there, which is why Cristiano locked his feet round to trip him or whatever.

And the officials definitely didn't favour United when they disallowed Tevez's goal for offside when he wasn't. They didnt show that on MOTD though for some reason.
 
That's strange that they did not show that disallowed goal from Tevez.
That's what's wrong with what i'm saying about the Premier League matches, i never see full matches, so things are judged for me before i pas a judgement...

This was a big win for United...i think in the end they have the best team (or should i say "squad") and the ywill end up becoming champions again...

Which teams are gonna relegate according to you guys ???

I think WBA, Stoke and Portsmouth or West Ham United...

Arsenal, supposedly in a crisis are actually doing better than Liverpool and Chelsea recently and have not lost, while Tottenham who are supposed to be 'rejuvinated' under 'Arry are still near the bottom. Strikerless Everton are doing great going into two massive games for them against Liverpool, while Hull who after their great start are starting to fall away. Also West Brom, still rooted to the foot of the table are in good form so things are looking brighter for them, whether they can stay up or not is another matter, it's very tight down there though.
 
Middlesbrough look like dropping into the Coca Cola. lack of goals unable to score more than 2 a game, can't hold a lead and being thumped by West Brom.
 
Let's try and discuss some transfers in this thread...

First of all a question: is Arshavin transfered to Arsenal or not ??? He's a great player but he's capable of the worst too...i'm not so sure if he's the player Arsenal need.

And then some strange transfers:

Spurs: Defoe, Chimbonda and Keane come back...what on earth has happened there...as a Spurs fan i have a bad feeling about this...

Ryan Taylor from Wigan to Newcastle: i guess Newcastle bought him because he always scored for Wigan against them...but why would a player move from Wigan too Newcastle this season ??? Surely not because Newcastle is a "bigger club" ???

Quaresma on loan to: Chelsea...he was bad at Inter, but i actually think he will be an asset too Chelsea...

Menseguez on loan to WBA: i like to see that guy IRL, had him in a couple of ML teams in PES and he was very good. I wonder if this guy can change much for WBA. See also the other (very good) Argentinian striker who was with Birmingham last season and is now playing very well for Lazio (forgot his name).
 
I agree with you about Quaresma, they should put him on the LW and let him cross with the outside of his foot.

Regarding Spurs I have nothing against Chimbonda but he simply isn't needed, Chris Gunther has been solid whenever he has been called upon and now his development is stopped by bringing in the 29 year old Chimbonda. Plus Corluka has been superb this season at RB (and CB) and Hutton will be ready for next season.

Keane deserved better from Rafa and I like him a lot but even with JD's injury he too is not a necessary signing. JD on the other hand is a great signing and his link up play with Pav was coming along nicely.

For the money that Arsenal are paying I think Arshavin is definitely worth it, maybe he'll give them a spark.

N'Zogbia is a very good signing for Wigan and Taylor going the other way is a strange one.

Also Man City rejected a bid from Newcastle for Michael Johnson, where has he been this season, has he been injured?

Mauro Zarate is his name Gerd, currently doing very well at Lazio as well I think, or at least, the last time I looked at the scoring charts for Serie A he was top.

He's got personal problems, he's struggle to cope with the pressures of being a footballer and has put on weight and going out drinking a lot.

Still gets £40k a week though:CONFUSE:

I know fans tend to be pessimistic but i think Spurs might well relegate...

A Russian vs a Russian, Russian derby, Pavlyuchenko vs Arshavin. As I know Spartak and Zenit are worst enemies in Russia.
