FIFA 17 mod (Gameplay, kits, graphics, squads)

I don't have any mods to try it with, but I don't understand why it wouldn't work the same...maybe there is a problem with the mod or wrong version

I have a problem. FIFA 17 has stopped working completely, even when I try to run it directly from the .exe file. It worked fine until now. The only time it didn't work was when I tried to run the game through Mod Manager, but without mods, the game worked fine. Now, when I run FIFA STP and click play, nothing happens. When I try to run it from the fifa17.exe file, nothing happens either. The FIFA 17 process appears in Task Manager for a moment and then disappears. I uninstalled the game, downloaded the Fitgirl repack, installed a clean install, disabled my antivirus to prevent it from blocking any files, and the same thing happens. I run it as administrator, but the game doesn't start, even though it was working fine until yesterday. Please help. Is there a solution to this problem?

Only thing I can think of is download elamigos version...can get it from Internet Archive. Its the same, but slightly different files, maybe it would work

I have steampunks by Xatab version installed on drive D , fitgirl version installed on drive F. I download also steampunks crack V2 . Nothings help. Game wont start... . Thanks for advice! i will try elamigos . Weird thing is fact that game works fine until i try run mods vis mod manager and same day i install fifa 22

Clean windows temporary files.

On keyboard press Win + R, then type: temp >hit enter to open folder and delete everything inside that folder.

Same process again for next 3 folders, now type: %temp%

Do the same for: prefetch

Then search for: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Temp

delete everything that can be deleted from all 4 folders, skip the ones which can't be deleted.

Restart and try Fifa again, hope it works.

It's safe to do it, i do it almost daily.
Every app you use creates temporary files which are stored in those folders, and its safe to delete them since they are, well, temporary there.

If you never deleted them, you could possibly free up few GB's of space after you delete all temp files.

Just getting into trying your mod, and I have to say, the video you posted looks amazing. I have just tried a couple of matches and it is feeling quite good. I hope the mod continues to be worked on and hope all the best for your future!

What Windows do you have? If it is Win11 then i'm not sure.

Did you tried compatibility mode?

Maybe it's .Net framework problem, since you said it starts happening since you installed 22?

Try to install again .Net framework from Fifa 17 and see if that can resolve it.

If i think of something else i will let you know.

Windows 10, i try compatibility mode , run as administrator, off fullscreen optimization, i reinstall all packages of net framework , c++ visual and directx . nothing help. I thinking about format c but I would like to avoid this at all costs

I solved the problem with not launching Fifa 17, now game works perfectly witch mods

Firstly, kudos for making this entire mod just <600MB, amazing.
Tried it out and it is really, really good.

The only addition I made over this mod wise was the ballsize increase mod, and it was just right.
I would request to make the pitch/turf retain dynamic marks somehow.
That feels like a small bonus to realism but makes looking at the game really fun and interesting.

I'm not entirely sure. Nothing helped, so I reset Windows to its initial state with the option to delete data from the system drive. It's possible that the problem was caused by system mess or some files left over from FIFA 17.

sorry to bother but may I ask, is there a way where I can revert back to the 2017 kits instead of the 2025 kits for some teams like Barca and Real? I love this mod overall but I just wish I could use back the OG kits from the game but not sure how to revert it

Personally, I find FIFA 17 lighting to be probably the best in the series, especially night & foggy weather.
It's super unique and atmospheric. Perhaps try to use a reshade and create your preset to get the effect you desire?

Yeah FIFA 17's lighting is unique, cinematic, aesthetic but it's not TV broadcast type colors

I've made tweaks to your locale.ini to make few changes that may vibe with other people.
I will share it here, hope you're cool with that

Changes that I've made:
- increased intensity at which players turn and speed in which they walk while at it (I found it to be too slow in the original);
- re-enabled "R1" runs;
- tweaked ball physics to make it less instant rocket speed;
- AI responds faster to passes resulting in less of "nobody knows who should get the ball" moments;

On a side note, I am using that locale file in FIFA 18 and it's working beautifully!

Overall, this gameplay mod is WOW. I liked Doctor+ versions already, but this stuff turned very good games into something else.

P.S. I started working on a video about this gameplay mod and how it transformed the experience. Stay tuned =)

nope, those are I think 2 separate versions. One is that of @chojanpineapple but with fixed cards and then you had my tweaks that I posted earlier.

Not sure when I will get a chance to get back to this.
So you can either wait for me to do it perhaps in the future. Or test and try to isolate the line that fixed cards in chojan's file and implement it in the version that I sent earlier. Or alternatively implement my tweaks to clunkiness to his file.

To be honest the first thing I realized is, I created a mod with all inside, and I really want to separate, but imagine it was like 4-5 month on changes (gameplay, lightning, IA, kits, graphics, grass), and it not easier to create separately because I don't remember all the thing I changed when testing over those month, and specially I had to cleanup my PC due a virus and I lost my last fbproject that hurts, I only have now the mod file.

But anyway, the cards was fixed, and some bugs commented before,

I recovered the files I could and make some changes (even separating the kits in 3 parts):

Inside you will find, one file for gameplay, one for overall game (the version alpha), and kits.

all together works really good.

Of course there are still some bugs, little at least.

I tried the mod. Thank you for sharing. I noticed more dip and swerve on balls in flight which I really enjoy for shooting but dislike for goal kicks.
