hello, i need help
i want to play PES 2017 online with my friends, do i need to build a server or fine a modded pes17 for online playing or what should i do exactly
i want to install the game on my pc and install it on my friend pc and we should be able to play against each other from different location
 
You only need to have it installed on one PC. You can follow this tutorial, it's applicable for PES 2017 as well. Just make sure to use Pico Park Classic Edition instead of Lofi Ping Pong.

Both you and your friend will need to have a good internet connection for the experience to be enjoyable. You are essentially streaming the game to him so without a good internet connection it'll be almost unplayable for your friend.

You can also use Parsec or Sunshine/Moonlight, but the steam remote play method is best in my experience.

Hello, this is the problem we don't have a good internet connection, is there another way to play it without streaming the game and both me and my friend have to install the game on our PCs ?
 
No, there isn't any other way.

There are other PES/FIFA games which you can play without streaming the game. You can play PES 4/5/6 with online community hosted servers, and you can play FIFA 11 via LAN with software like Gameranger.

And also i want to ask if i can create my own hosted server for pes 17 and how can i do this
 
There is a discord server with instructions on how to play multiplayer for the PES games.

And it is impossible to host your own server for PES 17, the only reason it's possible for the older PES games is because those servers were much easier to reverse engineer as the game's multiplayer logic was far simpler back then.

Here it is, it'll expire in a week. Keep in mind that most people only really play PES 6, 5 and 4 are much less played. You can play PES 6 online with latest squads if you wish to, with the Phoenix patch

I don't think this is true. The kind of complexity I'm talking about is not reflected in features like community boards or messaging inboxes. And quite frankly your point about people new games being shit and nobody caring about them is just stupid. Loads of people play PES 21 and PES 17 and other newer PES games.

I also don't agree with the complexity argument, even though PES6's server is more complex than PES 2021's.

PES6 has almost an unlimited number of patch groups and Master League communities on Facebook, established server infrastructure like pes6.es hosting ~3,000 daily matches, plus 1000+ member Telegram and Discord groups and modding communities like pesretro

Meanwhile, everyone involved in the PES 2021 community is concentrated here in one small section on EvoWeb.

That's why no one is building a server for PES 2021 there simply isn't the same level of demand.

That makes it look a little bit more active here (with 2× the content of PES6), but in reality PES6's community is astronomical in size compared to PES 2021 it's just spread out across the whole internet.

On a day to day basis I'd estimate maybe 5% people in the pes community play pes 2021

5% play the other titles like pes 2013 + pes 2021 + pes 2011 + pes 2015 + pes 2017 + pes3 + pes5 etc

The remaining 90% of people are playing pes6

I don't know about that. PES6 has over 100 large mods and total conversion installers, like the Dreamfinder 02/03 and 04/05 season packs.

The reality is that thousands of posts, likes and comments about PES6 content happen every day across Facebook patch and master league groups, Telegram groups with 1000 members like pes6.es, Discord communities like pes6stars, Pesretro. While everyone involved with PES 2021 is in one small section here on Evoweb. This creates an illusion that it's more popular or has more content than PES6.

More offline content is actually produced for PES6, but people share the links and hold the discussions in their own dedicated pes6 communities ....

Sure but even if that true, PES 2021 is the last PES to be release and its popular enough to have people interessed on online servers

Or maybe i am wrong idk
