Its a 42 inch LG plasma tv. The model is 42PC3R. And the shape of both ports seem like its the same shape. They do look alike though. I was told when I got the tv 1 year ago that it would support the highest resolution, but the VGA cabel does not seem to work so I dont think I can get 1080p, only 1080i and 720p through components.. But maybe it will be a little better when I get the Elite and a PS3 and use both HDMI inputs..I dont know.

Sweet, I didn't know The Orange Box has HL2 and HL2:EP1 in there, I never did finish those :) I thought it was just EP2 and TF2.
 
Not really clued up on Portal, just glanced at the review score on Eurogamer and seen it got 9/10 though.
 
its meant to be a very good setup for that price

i can plug my 360, Sky+ and DVD in and get 5.1 from them all :)
 
I've got my TV plugged into my surround sound, so whatever comes through my TV then comes out of my 5.1 and still sounds great :) So I have my Sky, 360 and PS3 all connected to 5.1 ... for £42 :)
 
But are you sure its proper 5.1?

I thought mine was but its only Dolby Pro Logic which is no where near as good as proper 5.1/DTS

is it connected by red and white phono leads?
 
I think the DTS is only when playing DVDs on that system

thats what mine currently is, Pro logic is still good for Surround sound though but your not getting the best out of your 360 and Sky ;)
 
what did you expect for £42 haha

in the audio/video world you get what you pay for, thats why im looking at this system because its very good for the price, it used to be £350
 
How ridiculous. Xbox Live does not allow you to change country when you change the billing information. This is apparently a common problem around the world and MS have no way of changing your country. My only option is to create a new account... meaning I lose all my friends, achievements and gamerpoints. This is fucking ridiculous.
 
Yup, you can get 3 month cards and 12 months. You can also buy points cards and add them.
 
Oblivion to get free, final DLC: Fighter's Stronghold

Bethesda announced today that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion would be receiving new downoadable content on Xbox 360 and PC next week, beginning on Oct. 15. The good news? It's free for a week! The bad news? It's the last bit of DLC for the game. Fighter's Stronghold will add a new castle for you to run, complete with your own vintner to create wines for you, a combat trainer, even a taxidermist to create trophies for your pad ... and creep out the local girls.

In other Oblivion DLC news, Bethesda says that they're "close, very close to working something out to bring Shivering Isles to PS3 owners." Which is close, very close to being very good news for those of you who didn't wait out for the Game of the Year edition.

The new pack includes :

* A fully detailed castle for you to explore

* Knights of the True Horn patrol the castle and do your bidding

* Secret treasure vault

* Upgrade the furnishings in every area of the castle

* Hire a vintner to create special wines to enhance your fighting abilities

* Hire a combat trainer to spar with

* Hire a taxidermist to craft lifelike trophies for your great hall

* Purchase an ancient Dwemer Forge that buffs your Armorer skill

The pack contents take place in the Colovian Highlands west of Chorrol and are built around Battlehorn Castle, which you can become lord of if you defeat a group of attacking marauders. Hit the jump for the official backstory, in the form of a Will.

Xbox 360 "Jasper" is Coming Next?

According to The Mercury News' Dean Takahashi, having successfully unrolled the Falcon chipset in the Halo 3 Edition Xbox 360s, Microsoft is looking to further cut costs (and heat) from their console. The next project is codenamed 'Jasper.' And where the Falcon shrunk the Xbox CPU to 65nm, the Jasper will continue the shrinkage, miniaturizing the graphics chip to 65nm to match. And memory chips will become smaller as well.

Takahashi also claims that Microsoft engineers feel like the heat problem is under control with both the recent Falcon's and older Zephyr's heat sink solutions, so buyers shouldn't beware when picking up new machines. While we're not waiting until the new chipset hits next August to buy a machine, we're not so certain the Microsoft has solved all their manufacturing issues just yet

I've rang seven local GAME stores for the past week now, seven days solid, and nobody's had a delivery of Xbox 360 Elites. What the fucking hell is going on? They've been out for two months now, why is it suddenly impossible to get hold of one from the UK's biggest game-selling store?
