• Hotmail/Outlook (any Microsoft email services) folks. Microsoft is currently blocking our emails. We have raised a support ticket with them and will update when we can.

    In the meantime it's possible that adding robot@evoweb.uk to your address book/contacts will help and if you're able to switch to a different email provider, that would work fine.

    We have also increased the number of bounce emails we can handle before accounts are marked as requiring verification again to hopefully mitigate the issue a bit as well.

Yep, except this time it's not a "wave" and it ends after a few days, it's going to be constant now.

People are still getting banned this morning after being fine last night, I wouldn't get so smug just yet, Tim ;)
 
Microsoft Confirms LIVE Console Ban Wave to IGN

Microsoft also added this is a standing policy and isn't tied to any specific time-frame.

I got banned 2 days ago too, like Dags i wasnt too bothered by it, i knew someday it would come...

Yesterday i bought a brand new Elite and traded my PS3 Fifa10 for the 360 version, wont be modding this new one, like Dags said this isnt a wave, seems it will be a weekly check, so i wont be risking getting a new console banned in a week or 2... if it was once i year i would consider mod it again.

Anyway, gonna keep my banned european version for early fifa every year :D

A few friends who've got banned have sent me links to various tech sources; MS have changed their checks now (as proved by disc check logs and Live logs), which means, in a nutshell, it's only a matter of time before you get banned if you keep connecting to Live with a flashed console.

It is now a constant thing purely because they can detect these custom firmwares much more simply now, so they can automate most bans (whereas before it was all about building up a "case" on someone). I find the whole tech side of it really interesting, especially with the custom firmware programmers always saying they were 100% sure MS couldn't detect backups... Good luck pirates...
 
I always told myself, MS will always find out somehow, it's always a matter of time. Plenty of people have tried persuading me to flash my console, including my dad. Thank god, I listened to my heart.
