Hi @Paul-v I downloaded your mod. First of all, thank you.
I really liked the freedom of the ball, how you cross and how you shoot.
What I noticed was strange is that the game seems easier, and I often find myself with either an open defense or with the defenders all facing outwards, leaving me with a hole in the middle.
Could that be?

Hi! That's my main problem too... the fullbacks are running into the middle, and the whole game is so chaotic—they're not defending at all, so it's just not fun to watch :( I just saw that a new version was released—is the defense still like that in it?
 
Hello! Thank you Paul for your work over all these years, but I have a problem. Perhaps you've already explained this, and I apologize, but why is it that when the referee gives the advantage after a foul, the timer to regain the advantage goes by in 50 hundredths of a second, so instantly, why ?

I made another small update to the gameplay mod today. With each small update, I am trying to make roles more diverse which helps teams be different from each other.



Changes:
- Increase amount full backs & wing backs will attack the box
- Increase the amount a "ball playing" central defender will move out of the defensive line whilst attacking
- Increase the amount a central defender will man mark attackers

Wonderful work, Paul. But the players reactions sometimes is very slow, the ball pass in front of him and they take a long time to move in direction of the ball. Could you improve?
 
With every update you release, the game gets better and better. It's incredibly valuable that you continue to improve the game by taking this valuable feedback into account. Congratulations!

Like many others, I really enjoy this mod compared to the original gameplay. I’ve always preferred slower, more realistic soccer, which is why I played the PES series more than FIFA starting in 2004. I think it would be good to change a few things if possible. Obviously, it can’t be perfect, but there are still a few gameplay issues that can be pretty annoying every time.

- Bouncing ball

This is the most common problem: when the ball bounces toward me from an opponent, and my player is slow, he barely touches it and it rolls several meters away, and of course the ball is back with the opponent.

- Passing

Often, when you want to pass quickly—and obviously not with your back to the goal, but rather alongside the opponent, like a tiki-taka pass—even if the players are facing each other, the pass often ends up being too long. Sometimes it feels like the pass is manual, but it’s set to assisted.

It also happens that I barely press the pass button, but the ball is kicked so hard that it’s incomprehensible....

-CPU Aggression

Actually, this isn’t a big deal, but the AI often slides in from the back into midfield in a way that results in a yellow card, even though the foul was completely unnecessary.

If possible, there should be more pulling down, because this way there are unnecessary red cards from the AI.

Actually, I think these are the main issues; everything else is great

+ Slow gameplay, physics, injuries, etc.

I’ve been playing this mod for a good few months now, and I’m writing this after 30–40 hours of gameplay. I think it gets better and better with every update!
Would anyone else like to share their experiences—both positive and negative? I’m curious!

That’s why I’m using an older version, where the players didn’t feel so heavy, so I can be quicker when accelerating and going after the ball. What happens is that I intercept a short one-meter pass, and the ball bounces several meters away from my player.
 
Ezért használok egy régebbi verziót, ahol a játékosok nem tűntek annyira nehéznek, így gyorsabb tudok lenni gyorsításkor és a labda utáni rohamozáskor. Az történik, hogy elkapok egy rövid, egyméteres átadást, és a labda több méterre pattan a játékosomtól.
Melyik verziót használod? Melyik a legjobb? A játék minden verzióval fejlődött...
 
Mate i played 1.5.6 and it was SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD !!! I m waiting to find time so i can test the latest .
 
Sadly this mod uses the Fifa Mod Manager which is broken.

An absolute ton of people on their Dischord server who have the same issues.

It is a very flaky piece of software.

No matter what I do from advice on the internet,the game does not launch when using this awful Mod Manager.

a little bit of feedback.... The flow of the animations for the player you control feels strange. It's not as smooth as previous versions.

Absolutely diffferent than your core values and nothing to do with 1.5.6 which i found almost perfect. I can understand that many pople here are asking for stuff like less error etc but that changes your classic type of gameplay .
That reckless sliding form the cpu in the centre of the pitch is destroying big way.
I dont know if i have done anything wrong but here is a match in legendary competitive semi vs a WAY better team .
I will roll back and use 1.5.6 again to see if i can get good matches again .
If anyone had the same super easy matches and addressed that problem PLEASE help me out. ANd before anyone saying about fuma , fuma wouldnt change anything in that match.

I revert and played to 5.0.13 against hudersfield in league 1 with same settings , I got a PERFECT game 0-1 with Hudersfield playing hard and making two good shots while i got one header and 3 shots only

I tested this new version, and I have to say they’ve finally fixed that really annoying bug where the ball would fly way off! 👌 I’ve gone back to version 1.5.6 too, because as far as I can tell, others think that was one of the best versions. Though there were hardly any injuries in that one, which wasn’t very realistic.... In this new version, the movement, physics, and ball handling are a bit different—the players move more fluidly, and the passing and ball control are more dynamic. So it’s heading in the right direction, but I’m still testing it.

What needs to be changed:
Difficulty level—in the older version, I had to set it to “World Class” because it was too hard for me, but here the “Legendary” level feels too easy to me. I’m playing the Serie A league with a mid-table team that constantly gives the ball away and barely makes it to the goal. I think Paul needs to fix this quickly. And I’m not even a pro player.

The other issue is the constant sliding tackles from behind in midfield, even when he already has a yellow card. I even turned aggression down to 1, but it seems to make no difference. Is there no way to change this? Should he just pull back instead? Or should he be more aggressive around level 16 when he has to?
Even when there's a penalty kick, he kicks it from behind when there's absolutely no chance of scoring!


I can only point out these two main "flaws" as things that bother me; as for the rest, I think it’s damn good compared to the original, as I’ve already said! Keep it up—we’re looking forward to these updates! 😎 Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

On difficulty:
I agree, it got way too easy, this wasn't intentional so I will work to get it back

On slide tackles from CPU:
Long story short, I like using a setting which forces the AI to make fouls, however, it can go over the top and constantly slide. I will run an experiment without it for a few versions though.

On the intercept first touches:
I preferred them being a little more random and dramatic but I am testing it with them a little less and then increasing to a level where its random rather than all of the time
