pes - the one you love but fuc*ks your mind up with annoying things
fifa - fresh, strange, arcadish compared to a hardcore pes gamer but atleast fun to play with, defence is miles better at least xD

No you are not the only one, I am big fan version 1.0 and version 1.01 is only adapted to the younger population who prefers more arcade style games.
 
I love this game it has the potential to be an absolute cult classic.

However, there are flaws which make it so fucking frustrating I am just about done with it.

SLOWDOWN! Its so crippling its unforgivable. How did it pass quality control?

DEFENDING IN THE BOX! It would be good to be able to. Also I would like to be able to clear it the length of the park not just to the edge of my own half.

THE EXTRA TOUCH! Ive pressed pass/shoot.clear, why the fuck the extra touch!

GOALKEEPERS! Some great saves but the easy stuff is awful.

REFS! The AI seem to get away with a late standing tackle or knocking me off balance when i jink past them, funnily enough its a foul when i do it!.

I cant wait until November, this is appalling. If i see KONAMI STADIUM again i am going to flip.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH It could be so good. Im so frustrated.
 
lol do you still believe they will fix all these bugs?? hell they couldnt do it since 2008 in the latest PES games and they couldnt do it for this since 2011, because this game is in development since then, im so dissapointed and i find much more joy on the opposite side as a PES fan since 1999... but i finally dump this bitch i guess, no matter how hot she is, only if Yair or Nesa can fix all these bugs and can remove scripting for the pc version, only then i'll play it, i dont want a fucking stroke in my living room, just hang out with friends and playing soccer there...again since 2007, ill gave enough time for Konami Studios i guess, they better stick with Silent Hill

Nice goal, but... What the feck is the first guy who is marking Wesley doing? No pressure at all! Then Wesley flicks the ball over his head and he is in awe or something... Zero reaction. Good to see next defender trying to block the shot, but again, there is NO pressure still on ball carrier. To top it all off: Goalkeeper let it go in through his hands.

This is what irks me. This shot wasn't powerful or precise (the ball didn't go near post or off it in).

Sorry for nitpicking here. I love this game, but those things irritate me, when I see them in my games :(.

Yeah I thought the patch only included adding online too.

Been trying Superstar and I much prefer it, there's finally a sense of urgency in the opposition's defending and scoring a goal feels much more like an achievement. I'm mucking about with team settings to some benefit too. Still not sure about the game overall but I'm having a bit of fun with it at least.

Two things I've noticed, playing in the San Siro at night is lovely, it has the best lighting and pitch textures in the game. I don't know why but the game feels like it plays much better in night matches. Weird.

I also like playing as PSG, as default they have the green nets you get in the French league. Adds a nice authentic touch.

Sadly i dont think they will and if they do if the November is to be believed it will be too late.

Im thinking of selling it.
 
Righto, I'm really enjoying the Pes experience so far, but I'm wondering if anyone has noticed this? I was playing a Copa Lib tournament last night and to give the semi final match more importance I went from 10 minutes halves to 15 minutes. I won't be game 6-1!!! I'd previously only been scraping through games.
It seemed that the games was pressurising me less? Or is this a coincidence?

You will probably see the defensive bugs more often as the opposition will spend more time around your box.

I think the best things to avoid seeing a lot of bugs is to play with teams with high responsive defenders. Unfortunately in this version this is only a hand full of teams

In the past I would have went through a lot of the teams and made them more playable or tried to counter the bugs, but konami will be putting a patch out. Also, some stats are not editable for some reason. Teamwork doesn't appear in the player edit menu and neither does the new stat which may take it place - work rate

I agree about night games. Day time seems random game play and speed between stadiums. I have never had a bad game in champions league mode, which are all at night.

I had really hoped with the new engine this would have been removed from the game.

Similar stuff happens on PES, to be fair. I have seen some fatality-looking stuff like that.

Although, hang on, I haven't noticed it much since the demo.

CL mode with Barca and I managed a barcaesque goal

I was on my knees with my arms in the air. When I scored a bicycle kick with neymar - yes a bicycle despite never heading a ball since before the demo

I know a lot of people are against people using barca because of online play, but after trying loads of teams, the game is much more enjoyable with the top teams and barca plays the best out of them and in particular in champions league mode.
 
Could be Chimps next I am going to use a much lesser team to see what I can do.

I saw people were claiming to beat barca 6-0 but when you use them it plays like they do - strengths and weaknesses

I had a Copa with Athletico Miniero which was alot easier but with a weaker team it balanced out.

It offered something new in the way the game played. I wish people would give this the chance it deserves. Sad to see a few of my PSN buddies making the switch.
 
There is no difference between 1.0 and 1.1 BUT there is a difference when installing the wenb option file, for some reason te game does not play well. Iv uninstalled the wenb patch and the game is amazing on superstar. For all those that have installed wenb uninstall the patch and give it a try u will notice a big difference
 
Whats the purpose of these form arrows, when players get in/out form randomly.

My striker goes purple arrow after scoring winning goal, goalkeeper getting red arrow after making terrible mistake etc.

The way form arrows are changing for players is like a dice roll, no any sense have been put in it at all.
 
Typical. Whenever they released a patch, it always been the case of former is better than the later. Just like demo is better than final. It's placebo + OCPD.

If you're on PC and installed any fan-made patch then the game might legitimately feel different because some mods tend to include their own gameplay tweak.

Game is far from broken;) Buy it, from the PSN if you can. Game runs silky smooth for me with no stutter. A patch is needed to improve some response issues but even without that, on the field PES 2014 plays a terrific game of football and has no equal. If you want to press a button and sprint willy nilly all over the field and glide past defenders this isn't for you. If online, hoards of licenses and fancy menus is very important to you then I'd shop elsewhere. But, if you want the closest thing to a raw simulation of the beautiful game, this is it. It's hard and you will err. It asks you to relearn some techniques and work for space, possession and victories. It is worth the effort if you love football and are willing to invest. Off the field though it's, well, it's PES...
 
I realise my posts make me sound like i hate the game.

I dont i love it, but the minor flaws are making it so frustrating, if i go to November with them my disc will be in three bits and my controller will have hit someone outside my window.
 
Absolutely love this game, for me it's the best pes ever totally hooked, the freedom in the passing and movement is incredible.

I've had some outstanding matches playing as Calcio Catania in League mode, there is a steep learning curve which I enjoy.

The heading is exceptional too, it's in your own hands how you play and control the game, scripting is there but very subtle.

I'm playing on top player 1 bar basic passing and shooting on the ps3 and I don't have many complaints except slow response sometimes and fouls awarded for great tackles.

Trying to pull off feints with the right and left sticks can be difficult when the cpu are pressuring you, it's all about composure in this game for me, brilliant!

haven't come in here since i got the game and what i see now in the forum is rather depressing..
I'm loving the game even if the menus and Football Life modes feel a bit unpolished and the online probblems (got disconnected in 5 of my 6 games, I'm rated B now :()
Gameplay is perfect imo, i hope Konami does not fuck it up because of whiners
