PES World Cup 2026

Hi mates.
Is there any patch or modified version of any ps2 PES for emulator to play with the 2025/26 season and if there's any version with a modified tournament in which it can be played a 48 teams tournament like the WC?

I guess that the best thing you could do is to have two 24-team tournaments, note down the teams advancing, and then create a 32-team knockout tournament (if it could be done, I don't remember!) with the teams "qualified" from the two previous tournaments.
Slightly suboptimal? Yes, yet I can't think at another way to do it.
 
If you're referring to PES 6, the only solution would be to play the second phase, using all 32 players in knockout mode (Konami Cup). It would be a good selection despite excluding the 16 worst players. I think the number of 48 only exists because it's set in a continental country like the USA (airports, services, etc.). I believe the number will revert to 32 in future editions (due to technical football and logistical reasons). What do you think of this, King of Hearts...

*aLe That's not a bad idea but I like to record the whole tournaments and show the scores, next games, groups, goalscorers/assists, etc thus that's not gonna be possible​

Odi1981 I hope it reverts, 48 is pure marketing and money, tv rights, etc. It does not really matter which PES version, but one that has a nice 2025/26 patch season​


Also thinking a bit more about it even if you can create a 48 teams tournament, there are teams like Haiti, Curacao, Cape Verde, etc that are not appearing on the games...
