Hi guys, those of you who have PES6-PC installed, give this a go. I played a ton of games in the past week and it makes a great difference, not only in the gameplay, but in the AI. Just try this and you'll see. AI attacks and presses like PES2008.

Is the PES 2008 Official Guide worth it? I know it’s targeted at PS3 users but there is apparently a PS2 section within it.

Apologies all - Stupid question, I have PES2008 for my PSP original with an updated OF.
I can’t remember but is it possible to transfer an OF via your PSP to PS2 please? I seem to remember you could data transfer between the two but not sure if this works for OFs.

Thinking of giving WE2008 a go as a PES 2008 upgrade.

No, the OFs are fundamentally different. I'm trying to edit my editor to load WE2008 OF but I havent managed to do so yet.
Thing is, we cannot have a perfect game it seems.
WE2008 fixed PES2008 EU bugs but it is easier. After playing a while AI in 6* is definitely easier than PES2008 Top Player unfortunately.

I'm really sorry to hear that, I hope you experienced it when you were younger at least. I'm lucky to have a group of friends that, although it's not very often, will get together once a year for an in-person tournament - and I can honestly say it's my favourite time of year. If you're ever in the north west of England, let me know - I'm happy to be beaten by a different player for a change.

I think @marqisspes6 was trying to work out if this can be played online, maybe one day that will work and we can have a game

@Chris Davies Kind of you to say thanks. Hah I dunno about winning. I might be able to trash the CPU but a human player is something different entirely. Yeah I used to play all the PES PS2 releases with my cousin.

yes it got harder to get it working actually, still need to sat down again with it, online will be good, mostly because some friendships get better overtime and eventually go into real life meet ups and thats just another level, well at least I did made a few amazing friends like this some time ago

Excellent. I’m London based. We had a Shoreditch pub put on a PES 6 tournament a while ago so I will get in touch with them should they be interested.

Was that The Volley? If so it was The Threaded Pass (https://www.instagram.com/thethreadedpass/) who organised and they said they were going to make it regular.
I'm at the other end of the UK but they asked me to promote it on Instagram!
I'm hoping to organise one in Aberdeen this year.

I played practically only on VS when it was 2000-2006 it started with Iss Pro Evo 2.
The thing is : i would love a PES 2008 ps2 tournament like in that Café in Paris, as i given too much chance to PES 6 but with big teams it's too random, Balance and speed matters too much.
If i got a bit mo'money (even mo problems i take it) i would push people on different PES like a "gem's discover" for the casual player with 2008 versions and most of all J-WE and WE6FE (example)Thematic tournament (UK teams only, created leagues etc.)...
But most tournament would be on PES 2008 and PES 5 original season updated. "Where's PES 6 bro?" "There's 2 consoles running it close to the toilet, on the back of the Café" (Sorry @Dooky couldn't resist for that joke :-) ) It's always fun whatever the version and i should admit that i know people who only knows how to play PES6 and never tried the other or liked football games before, PES was at his peak in terms of popularity.

And in December 2025, I organized a game night featuring all the ISS/PES games, including the J-League versions, on PlayStation 1 & 2 (since I have the entire physical collection).

Here's the final translated version of JLWE2008CC : you can check on the old version, all tournament (cup, ML etc.) didn't have their presentation.
I also translated the ML guide / instruction i suppose Fernando's didn't found it relevant but to me all those little things gives some importance to a mode you're playing. There was missing every instruction about a match, like the playoff for fighting to stay in D1 (Jap).

Those are modded design to create a kit, impossible to with the Ig editor (i put 2 examples here directly took from the files of a Patch, several patch got it but they leave people rebuild themselve kits for Bundes or others euro clubs)
When they're mixed together and you put on it the good color palette, it looks let's say 80% like a real kit template. I need it only for some kits in La Liga : i own all the PL, Others clubs, and Bundesliga (i can't switch kits from Bundesliga to Liga so Bundes will got real kits on my future project that i will finish this time and not in 5 years lol)

Thanks Neo but I managed to fix those strings a few months ago. Just working on fixing an audio bug blocking commentary before releasing the updated patch.

Take your time bro, if you said to me that you will release it, i suppose La Liga got real kits or already Kitslayers done, that would be fantastic to me.... As i planned to use the one i got to make an almost perfect version of WE 2008, regarding faces, data (i can resolve the super low values issues for Others C teams
)With your autorisation, i would recreate Bundesliga over Eredivisie (i won't fuck up anythign at all don't worry i know how to correct market values). I ain't a child, far from that so i will give you pre-version before release (or for people here who want to test and check errors).
Also got to correct all names from hidden clubs in World tour, i corrected only names in english but not searched real names except for teams.
I really want the best for the 2 best games i think i will play until i still can play lol. In part with Pes 5 but i'm bored with that version since a big moment, overdose probably (too old, played too much, side step bores me etc.) and i believe you do too. Your version with Bundes i may add will be a banger, same as the WE2008 i downloaded everything i need just have to apply / Yes i got two plans lol.

for WE 2008 i will only take the NT crest you did as it's a very smart way to avoid kitserver on WE 2008 and got all licences 
ATM i'm a bit on next gen editing as there's much more teams and works... I don't even know if i will end that project one day. Please don't rush to release your version, we can wait with yours without issues.
