Hello dear Modder,

I’ve been working on modding the gameplay of EAFC 26 for several months now, and I’ve reached a point where I can’t make any further progress.
The issue is that I know there are parameters and values I can adjust, but despite running many tests, I haven’t been able to achieve the effect I’m aiming for. Specifically, I want tackles to have more impact, so that when a strong player tackles a ball handler at high speed, the opponent should actually fall.
However, I’m not even sure if this is possible or how to achieve it. I’ve already set many balance-related values to 0, increased strength to the maximum, and lowered the hit threshold close to 0, but nothing really changes, the players only stumble.
Because of this, I think it would be helpful if we worked together to create our own preferred gameplay experience. For that, we need to share our findings and experiences.

So if you want an exuberantly optimistic viewpoint, share your mod here - not just the output but the working files. Share what values you’ve tweaked and what outcomes you’ve seen (or not). Include before and after videos.

I’d also try using ludicrous numbers just to see what happens - I have tried making all players 200 kg and it’s surprisingly works really well (slower pace and acceleration, without having to tweak any acceleration or sprint sliders).

I change all the muscle Parametrics in the ragdoll file to 0; all the Recovery Rates in PushPull to 0 like balance and strength; increase the stumble force in ragdoll higher; Enabled authentic stumble to fall; Set all Fall Thresholds to 0. On this point i give up guys. EAFC modding is too hard, if nobody can help forward.

Have you tested with authenticity features on and off? There are two whole sets of gameplay parameters. One set affects authentic gameplay and one set affects non-authentic.

One easy way to tell is increase the ball radius in your mod to a huge number. If you see a huge ball, you know your mod is loading correctly.

My mod is loading sucessfully because i decrease the speed of the players. I change the parametric of the FIFA / ATTRIBULATOR / GAMEPLAY / GROUPS and test it with a offline match.

There a re people on this forum that have a more deep knowledge about modding the gameplay , but they monetize it. I don't have a problem with that - they've spent time to learn values, testing, etc... I even use their mods

The problem i have tho :

i want to modify myself an older game , FIFA 23, 22. I even tried to reach some of them to help with and you guess the answers.

Reality: We reach a timeline now when few want to share their secrets. There are some old forums where people discussed gameplay files & mods ( gameplay lab ). Not happening anymore

Idea : from what I understand, we need an app ( script ) that would read the gameplay files (EBX) from the memory. That way we would know which files modifies what, but it requires really advanced coding knowledges. In theory that would change a lot of things

If you want to start a modding lab, go for it. Start by sharing some of your mod working files and parameters you have succeeded in finding your desired output. You mention you lowered players speed, presumably to a value you like. Share that - show which parameters your changes and their values. Maybe you can spark some interest and collaboration. Maybe it could create some innovation. Maybe others could then offer you tips on what they’ve found with tackling/collisions.
