The future of Evo-Web

To everyone who managed to activate the upgrade: did you use the PayPal balance or a prepaid/credit card?
It looks like it's a card-related issue (or at least that's what PayPal said. They said that they passed everything on to the card issuers, but it's them who refused the transaction).
So, I'm trying to see what's everybody else's mileage with cards.

I can only see one other donation that’s gone through but I only see the full name. If you’ve successfully donated and don’t see your account having the supporter tag please can you DM me your full name used on the PayPal account so I can manually adjust this while we iron out these issues.
 
Ok, so everyone aside from Tom so far I can see the PayPal payment as 'on hold', which is why the automatic promotion thing hasn't gone through. Even my own payment is on hold... Please bear with me as I'm assuming it's because we're a new vendor.

I've added Stripe as another payment method if anyone is feeling brave.

Not an overly important thing, but I use dark mode (sensitive eyes at my age), and the supporter tag is quite bright and weirdly coloured in dark mode:

Sure. Simply drop Mart a message with your details and he'll sort you out.
 
What browser/OS is that? I use dark mode too because I’m cool but the image should look normal unless it’s Tom’s.

That shouldn’t make a difference. PayPal is currently putting our payments on hold so it might take a few weeks before that all works but there’s no link between the emails.

We have Stripe enabled as well now, which so far has worked 100% of the time (1/1).

Windows 11, Firefox. It might be related to the Dark Reader addon I don't think I'm actually using the site's dark mode!

Site switched to dark mode then Dark Reader off and it's sorted! :)

Good evening dear admins, I'm really sorry. But either I'm being stupid, or it's not working for me somehow.

I can't change the email address or set PayPal as my payment method.

The field with the email address is greyed out and it shows the email address I use here for Evoweb.

If you have any other tips for me, please let me know.
 
PayPal isn't there at the moment until they start releasing our payments. The current method is Stripe, which looks like it uses your Evo-Web email but you just enter your card details on there. No login or account creation.
 
If you wouldn't mind @-ing me once PayPal is sorted, happy to support the site. Had previous history with card payment issues so always err on the side of caution these days (no offence!)
 
Received yes but it’s on hold with the others so remains in a pending state.

Sad to hear this. I had every kind of problem trying to upgrade with PayPal (from one card issuer just refusing to process the payments to another card issuer taking the money but not giving it to Evoweb... And they haven't given it back to me either!), but everything has been smooth as silk with Stripe.
 
Aha well if it comes back I'm happy to pay another way :)
Thank you. I think it's a normal hold on payments because we're a new seller but it seems to stop the promotions working so is less than ideal.
 
I made a Payment on 22.11.25. Monthly for 1 Year. But i am not shure if EvoWeb received this, cause i payed with PayPal.

Can you PM me your name on the PayPal account? I'll check to see it's one of the ones on-hold and will manually set your status for now until it clears in a few weeks.
 
Could you please keep me informed about when it will be possible to pay with PayPal and the bank details stored there?

I can't use the current system. I don't have a credit card, don't want one, and I don't understand the other two options.

:BYE: Hello, Mart, could you please tell me? Before the server migration, I could access Evo Web without any problems at any time of day or night. After the server update, I can't log in anymore. I waited a whole week, thinking the migration was still in progress. Haha, I'm an idiot, but today I decided to use a VPN and can access the site without any problems (why didn't I think of this sooner:DOH:). This is most likely due to regional restrictions, I guess? The thing is, I'm from Russia, so maybe the political situation and all the sanctions are to blame, what do you think? So, is a VPN my salvation now? Well, if that's the case, then I'll have to take this step. I just realized this week that Evo Web is my personal brand of heroin, figuratively speaking, of course, but I have to admit that I went through withdrawal, haha. :WORSHIP:Thank you for your efforts, dedication, and support of this wonderful and immortal forum. To my shame, either I'm incompetent when it comes to international transfers, or there's some kind of error, but they're telling me my card isn't supported. I don't know why, I think it's a visa issue, but perhaps it's also a regional issue and sanctions. So, forgive me, I can't say I feel guilty, more like a little irritated, but I'm glad and I see that many enthusiasts are saving this beautiful place from perishing. I was ready to donate $30 if needed, but don't think I'm cheating. Ha-ha-ha, I'm so tired of these political games! As always, it's ordinary people who suffer. The 21st century is supposedly globalized, but some countries have decided to follow the path of the North Koreans. My God, talk some sense into these incompetent people who govern us. Long live EvoWeb and world peace.
