The future of Evo-Web

:BYE: Hello, Mart, could you please tell me? Before the server migration, I could access Evo Web without any problems at any time of day or night. After the server update, I can't log in anymore. I waited a whole week, thinking the migration was still in progress. Haha, I'm an idiot, but today I decided to use a VPN and can access the site without any problems (why didn't I think of this sooner:DOH:). This is most likely due to regional restrictions, I guess? The thing is, I'm from Russia, so maybe the political situation and all the sanctions are to blame, what do you think? So, is a VPN my salvation now? Well, if that's the case, then I'll have to take this step. I just realized this week that Evo Web is my personal brand of heroin, figuratively speaking, of course, but I have to admit that I went through withdrawal, haha. :WORSHIP:Thank you for your efforts, dedication, and support of this wonderful and immortal forum. This is my second "digital virtual" home. I feel comfort and serenity. I'll drink a glass of good wine to your health today!
I’m not Mart, but could you tell me what message you’re getting when trying to access the site without a VPN? We don’t have any restrictions in place, so whatever you’re experiencing on your end shouldn’t be related to our server migration, it’s likely just an unfortunate coincidence.

Good evening, Tom. Yes, of course, I'll show you a screenshot now. One from my laptop and one from my smartphone. This was a big surprise for me too; I've never had any problems with EvoWeb. It's always been stable, fast, and reliable. Of course, there have been technical issues, but this time, I've never encountered anything like this.

First thing i would do is clear browsing history + restart my router. If it doesnt work try to use google dns in your pc

I signed up for a stable VPN and will be using it from now on. The main thing is that I can still log in, and of course, things might change over time. We'll see. In any case, these are complaints about my ISP and my mobile provider. No complaints about EvoWeb, you're the best.:SMOKIN:

Hi everyone, I'm having the same problem as Yurec trying to access to the forum since this past weekend. Everything was fine until Friday and I could log in without any issues, but since Saturday it's been impossible to access the website from any browser and I've tried almost every one (Firefox, Edge, Vivaldi, Brave, etc.). They all display the same type of error message where the page takes too long time to load. I thought it might be a temporary problem, but I saw that there are other similar cases. The only way I've been able to access to the forum is through the Tor network, so I imagine that using a VPN shouldn't have any problems either. However, it's a real hassle having to use these kinds of tools to access to the website instead of being able to do it in the usual way.

@Yurec , not entirely sure if it will work, but I use a fork of firefox, called librewolf for to go sailing on the sea's :PIRATE: .. sometimes.
https://librewolf.net/
It's not as advanced as tor, but it's good for some security & privacy. And I've noticed that sites (like livescore) cannot figure out my timezone.
Maybe worth a shot. It also has better performance than standard firefox IMO.

P.S @Mart & the rest of the admins, as somebody else mentioned already, I never knew there was ads on this site :JAY: ..sorry! lol I'll make up for it.
P.P.S Thanks for building this place!

Have you considered ads that are more relevant to the content of the site? Links to purchase FC 25 or download eFootball. Or team jerseys/scarves. Streaming services to watch the games. Team/supporter websites. Or video games in general?

These are more relevant and may actually get clicks that aren’t accidental. Perhaps there’s a way to create synergy.

@Tom is there any chance you can get the ad to pop up once per session rather than on every page?
I understand sever costs but its a bit annoying for it to happen on every page and I don't want to have to start blocking them all because they are there for a reason.
Cheers

That's a question for @Mart , I'm afraid. I can't change/tweak anything about that, mate.

Seeing a lot of blank screens on the PC and black screen on the phone when I go to the page. But it does load when I refresh.

Same here, also Android Chrome (usually when returning to the tab I keep open for Evo-Web).

Hello, I love the Evo-Website and using it for many years now. Thanx for your work.
I would like to be a supporter, but I never give my credit card data online. Can you please add the choice to pay with PayPal?

Sorry if this was clarified or should be obvious but im completely dumb to get how websites work.
Lately i was looking for some Sound related mods in the PES 6 thread but the site only came up through external search and of course when i click on any of these sub threads its a 404 error. So i just wondering if these/and maybe other content got moved within the site or if they got lost. If the latter is the case and we are not aware then i would just like to report it i guess.

What exactly do you mean by "but the site only came up through external search"? Remove the "cdn." part in the URL and it should work just fine.

I meant through google search led me to the search result but not the internal search tool of the site. Regardless links do work as you suggested, appreciate it.

Simply clicking on the yellow "Sound" prefix lists all sound related threads, there's no need for any searching in case you weren't aware of that yet. This goes for all the other prefixes, too :))

This has popped up for the last couple of weeks on IOS, a literal full screen ad that you can't remove, even after sitting through the ad.

It can be fixed for now by requesting the desktop site, but that is shocking. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but this is the sort of thing that makes people use content blockers where possible.

I'd love to help you guys out on anything ad and payment related, but we'll have to wait for @Mart to chime in and sort these things out, I'm afraid.

Mine is payment related because I want to support the website. But my problem is that there Isn't any Paypal option available to choose (at least when I last checked). I deleted my previous post coz' I didn't got any answer about, and I was thinking that in the end wasn't a Paypal option. Thanks for the info Tom, I'll wait...

That should never happen. I have all of the settings as restrictive as possible as far as ad placement goes. Are you still seeing it? I periodically check (using iOS) and haven't seen anything beyond the small banners, which is the only type of ad that should show.

I completely understand the frustration.

Ah sorry I missed your earlier message. I have re-enabled PayPal. We were having some issues with it early on so it might take a while to activate the subscription if it's still messing about. I can manually activate it if you have any problems.
