• Hotmail/Outlook (any Microsoft email services) folks. Microsoft is currently blocking our emails. We have raised a support ticket with them and will update when we can.

    In the meantime it's possible that adding robot@evoweb.uk to your address book will help and if you're able to switch to a different email provider, that would work fine.

    We have also increased the number of bounce emails we can handle before accounts are marked as requiring verification again to hopefully mitigate the issue a bit as well.

Call of Duty: World at War

In my opinion Call of Duty 2 on VETERAN was much harder, generally I can't really give an opinion, but from what people have said COD5 is one of the hardest out of the series.
 
Hmmm. Now I got 1000/1000 on COD2 and the only tough part I found was a section with a water tower that you have to climb up and take out mortar guys. Mainly as the game cheated and let the enemies know where you were behind walls so you couldn't sneak around the back and it cheated as you'd clear an area... take 2 steps out of a room and the game would spawn 2 men in the room behind you.
 
For me it's very, very, very hard.

I don't seem to aim right with rifles but I was very accurate on cod4. They dont seem to hurt enough with 1 bullet even wiht headshots.

Today I struggled playing veteran and I decided to stop playing after the game saved a bad checkpoint when I was friendly fired by mistake. It was ok the 1st time, no message, but as soon as I died I got the message...
 
I had the thing with the aiming, I have got used to it though. Got this INSANE score on MP Headquarters last night, Thompson silenced, Bomb Squad, Stopping Power and Steady Aim perks on Dome. Rather proud of myself, got a 25 kill streak aswell. :P

I gotta say I am impressed with Treyarch, already there were cheaters on Roundhouse, but they already patched it which is great seeing as IW did piss me off a bit when they just never did anything about it.
 
Ha ha thanks, I think I was really lucky for a while, I was surprised though in a way, the people on the other side weren't exactly playing rubbish against us. Your score is definitely not bad! I remember getting over 100 kills on CoD4 but that was on Shipment but it was always pretty easy to do cause it was tiny.
 
I'm level 40 now, I played so much today and I'm loving multiplayer more and more, at first I was "meh" not the same as COD4 online, but now it's growing on me.
 
Same here, nearly at 41. It took me a while to get used to not having red dot sight etc... The sights you do get for the guns are okay, but one thing I don't like is that there isn't as many gun challenges. :(
 
I picked up someone's gun that you get at level 41 and it was awesome

rapid fire, quality scope and no recoil. PP something i think it was called
 
Oh yeah, I know the one it's the PPSH or something, I need to get that!! I probably will later when I get on to 41, I'm at 40 now. I'm using one now that hasa good scope, can't remember the name though, but it's the fourth down on the Rifles list.

Im liking the levels with tanks on the most because i just jump in one and stay in it (often changing for a fresh one when its damaged) and just hammer people all match

got 20 kills 0 deaths doing that yesterday and its like that most of the time i get in one :LOL:
 
Yeah that's class on the tanks, but it's also annoying when you get crushed by one. I'm currently level 45, using the thompson a lot now.
 
Thompson silenced is great, you still get awesome accuracy and damage with it. I used it mostly on Dome and Castle, then the scoped STG-44 on most of the others apart from Roundhouse where I occasionally use the DP-28.

By the way does anyone know where you get that perk that lets you climb trees? I've hardly seen anyone in a tree, and come to think of it I've hardly seen anyone with a flamethrower online, only once.
 
Really? I've seen people in trees thought very rarely I think only twice, that why I mentioned hardly seeing anybody in them, but I've seen them on killcam after I've died. There must be ways of getting to them, I've seen someone on Cliffside and on Makin in trees, hmmm....
 
Might have to borrow this then. I loved the COD4 multiplayer (especially the perks system) and this sounds like it's worth trying just for the online aspect.
 
I got a 27 kill streak in a tank last night

i bet the other team gets well pissed off when i get in a tank because when i'm in one there aint no getting me out :LOL:
 
It's not like BF:BC when someone gets on the artillery straight away and stays there the whole game is it?
 
Christ it stays there all the time? How stupid and unfair is that?! :|

I'd definitely recommend this to you Dags, even if just for online, it's better in some ways than CoD4, but I do still love that game to bits.
 
My brothers grabbed this and is telling me it's way way better than BF Bad Company. And he LOVED that game and it was probably the hours he clocked up on that that got him into the home beta a few months ago.

I'd love to grab this asap but im still into everything else i've got - but then the danger is if i pick this up in 2 or 3 weeks then ill end up being owned by everyone with all of the unlocks like it was on COD4.

Any PS3 users had this lock their PS3 up?

After Fallout 3 locking up (though I believe that's a common issue), I'm a bit concerned that I'm now getting lockups with a different game.

Nope, hasn't happened to me with COD5 or Fallout 3. It did once on COD4 but that was due to my internet connection being dodgy. I think it just got confused.

Just out of interest have you tried playing without the internet connected? It may be that that's causing the lockups :THINK:
 
Nope, it could be that I guess. My connection has taken a MAJOR hit tonight and is absoloutely shocking so it could be causing a problem.
 
Well it's funny you say that Dags, because EVERY new game I have on PS3 locks up within the first few hours of me playing it, then it never does it again. I have no idea why, it did it with COD, Little Big Planet, every game...
 
Ah well, maybe it's just one of those things.

Played about 4-5 games last night, quality :D It's just what I wanted it to be and it was great to get back to the style that I enjoyed so much in COD4.

The maps are MUCH bigger, although you spawn near groups so I like how you can decide to dive straight into the firefights or sneak around.

The tanks are a right pain as well. I've only just got to level 4 so unlocked the rocket launchers. Those anti-tank sticks are a load of crap when I tried to use them.

And those dogs! :LOL: Proper distraction as you're aiming for them while the other guy has a free aim at you!

Soooooo much better than BF:BC, brilliant multiplayer :D

Like I say, played single player and thought the first few levels were a bit crap so probably wont bother with that side.

How do I play the zombie level?

Sadly for you Dags you either have to be invited in there by a friend, or unlock it for yourself via completing that lovely single-player mode you mentioned there.

I had me first 90 minutes on the game last night, I was a bit rusty as I hadn't played COD4 since around March / April time. Got to Level 10 though and had a 14 kill streak on me 4th game, I retired to bed after 6 or 7 games feeling pretty pleased.

The maps are all great so far, I haven't found one I dislike yet.
