I was excited to try out the simplified skill moves but on my game that option is grayed out.
Anyone knows why and how to enable it?

Hotmail/Outlook (any Microsoft email services) folks. Microsoft is currently blocking our emails. We have raised a support ticket with them and will update when we can.
In the meantime it's possible that adding robot@evoweb.uk to your address book/contacts will help and if you're able to switch to a different email provider, that would work fine.
We have also increased the number of bounce emails we can handle before accounts are marked as requiring verification again to hopefully mitigate the issue a bit as well.
Have you locked controls to "competitive" at the top of that settings page by any chance? I would imagine you can't use this option online (which is primarily what that control set is for).I was excited to try out the simplified skill moves but on my game that option is grayed out.

Destroyed the defender with Gyökeres on the old gen version (Xbox One) would've been more satisfying if the defenders didn't look completely uninterested in keeping up with him
I did something similar in FC25 but couldn't score
I did my job on discordReport the problem of fouls on the portal

I played the switch version of FIFA 23 a few months ago (it was basically Xbox 360 FIFA 19 gameplay wise) and the mechanics of the old FIFAs still crap all over any of the next gen Hypermotion era stuff lolThe A.I. and tactical side of the game is once again, absolutely absent. The way the A.I. "cover" space literally creates 20m gaps between defense midfield and attackers, nothing is remotely consistent, just all over the place.
The defense in particular just has no clue how to position themselves or where they should be on the pitch according to the position of the ball and the attacking players, even ps2 games were far better in that regard....
In 2v2 it doesnt show as much, since you are controlling more of the players, but 1v1 its so shit...
vent over...sheesh...another FIFA, that is only, maybe playable 2v2 or in clubs...
And it does read well, right?!Nope, it was new for FC26 - see the pitch notes by clicking here which explain what drove this addition (and what supports it).
Thanks mate. If enough people reports it in the portal, EA will have to respond. This is the year where feedback is extremely important.I did my job on discord
I reported no fouls and high pass accurancy for CPU at end of the match/ pass error slider is not working![]()
It's because of Player IQ/Role rigid zones. Please report the issue on the portal here: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/8401603/Player-Feedback-Portal-EA-SPORTS-FC-26The A.I. and tactical side of the game is once again, absolutely absent. Switched down to World Class. Enjoying it more now tbh despite it being a little easier.
Even though I didn’t find Lengendary (or Ultimate) difficult, I feel like the artificial difficulty was one of the reason I get out my wingers through on goal with 3-4 first time passes.
World Class seems a bit more settled but the usual problems still exist. Trying to just an enjoy it as a game for now and not as a football sim.
With that being said, I both love and hate the random events in career.
Same here with regards to the random events - I was in two minds whether to include it or not. I set the frequency to ‘low’ and I have already had 2 in my first 5 games. It definitely adds another dynamic but I can see it becoming tiresome/annoying if implemented the wrong way.
It is bug.....since ea fc 25To exaggerate slightly, I'm currently spending more time in the settings menu checking options than on the pitch because the game simply won't save my fucking settings.
Kickoff mode for example. I go into the menu, tactical fouls are disabled. I enable them and exit the settings. Then I go back in and they're disabled again. So I enable them again. And only then are they saved. But only for the next game, after that it starts all over again. How many years has EA been unable to fix this? Same thing with other options. It's so incredibly annoying.
Apart from that, is there no remaining playing time anymore when you start the trial?

No I have the other option (don’t know what it’s called in English but it’s not competitive controls.)Have you locked controls to "competitive" at the top of that settings page by any chance? I would imagine you can't use this option online (which is primarily what that control set is for).
Which is a shame because it makes more sense to make skills contextual than Street Fighter style...
I never hear much good about Ultimate difficulty for years now.Something is wrong with the difficulty in authentic mode. World class is the hardest and ultimate is easier than world class.

Here's my direct feedback to EA regarding FC26:
Summary (provided by Gemini):
This video from Matt10L provides direct feedback to EA regarding #FC26, focusing on two main issues with gameplay:
The video suggests that the solution is to simplify the game's base by going back to basic football principles, where players naturally support each other, and then adding advanced tactical adjustments. It also encourages EA to leverage the community for feedback.
- Fullback Positioning: The video highlights that fullbacks drop back too early and are not wide or high enough to support the attack or be available for transition. This rigid positioning creates a numerical disadvantage and doesn't reflect modern football tactics where center-backs often cross the halfway line. The suggestion is to reduce tactical adherence for fullbacks and free up their positioning.
- Misunderstanding of Attacking Thirds: The video argues that the game treats the entire pitch, up to the halfway line, as an "attacking third," leading to unrealistic defensive animations. A key example is center-backs turning their backs to the ball carrier and running into their own box when they should be engaging the attacker further up the field. This creates excessive space for shots on goal.

I was saying this last year ... and this year also ... or those learn to play/challenges or what they are called ... shoting-shoting linePractice arene has different gameplay than rest of the game at least on Series X. There is zero animation skipping, players have weight and ball seems to be more realistic.

Is anybody else having problem enabling simplified skill moves??
